The best shooting caliber for the average hunter I would say the 6.5 x 55 for best caliber and the .30 Carbine for the best cartridge. Our beloved rifle is the 6.5 x 55 I picked up online at the NRA store. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 6.5 x 55 from Dick’s Sporting Goods in Claflin.
