My friends and I like the 222 Hornet best for whitetail hunting. The best shooting caliber would have to be a 350 Rem Mag.

The best shooting caliber for varmit and larger game is 7mm Mossberg Magnum and the best all around caliber for small and medium game is 6.5 x 55. I got my Savage 6.5 x 55 online at Wal Mart. My best friends’ treasured target rifle is my Savage Model 22 in 7mm Remington Magnum.

One drawback for the 6 mm BR is that it isn’t very powerful. Our favored rifle is the 30-30 I picked up online at the NRA store. I got my H&R 30-30 at the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Astatula. I really like higher power scopes as in 4×12 - 4.5×14 on the Browning Mark V Sporter.
I ordered my Remington Mark V Sporter in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Astatula, New Hampshire. My old lady’s dear rifle is my new Ruger Mark V Sporter with the checkered hard rock maple chambered in 6 mm BR and 30-30. I got my Browning 6 mm BR online at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
