My most favorite rifle is everything made by Marlin. My friends and I like the 22 Magnum best for deer hunting. My favorite caliber is for the Marlin 336XLR is 22 Magnum.
My most favorite rifle is the Marlin 336XLR I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Red Lion. I really like Marlin lever actions, but I do have more 458 Win Magnum bolts than levers.
A minor problem with the 458 Win Magnum barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope. I ordered my Marlin 336XLR in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Red Lion, California. I got my Marlin 458 Win Magnum last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Red Lion. My mom got her 458 Win Magnum online at Cabelas.
